New Website- What have I been up to?

I have finally composed a website!

For those who have asked about following my work, or what I've been up to in graduate school- I will be posting here. As I near the start of my second and final year of graduate school- I will try to be more regular about posting here instead of on social media.

What have I been up to over the last few years?

After graduating from the University of Northern Arizona in 2015 with degrees in Sculpture and Art Education, I spent one year in Phoenix, AZ, teaching 3D art to high school students.

This past year I have begun my graduate degree at the University of North Carolina Greensboro. This has been a wonderful growing and humbling experience for me, as I have been pushed out of my comfort zone, and challenged to evolve in regards to my work and my studio practice.  This first year consisted of much experimentation, working in many materials/ methods that I wouldn't have otherwise seen myself using.

This summer I had an amazing opportunity to travel to Italy for a stone carving workshop. Afterwards, I met up with my fellow graduate students in Venice as part of a faculty led graduate funded trip to see the art in the Venice Biennale. I cannot begin to explain the wealth of ideas and inspiration these experiences have given me.  As I begin to process the last few months, I am excited to see what happens in my art!

As I begin my final year of graduate school, I am eager to put into place all that I have learned and experienced over the last few years.  I will be so busy guys!
